Mumbai: Rumour mills are working overtime that Shah Rukh Khan has turned down a film in which he had to share screen space with ‘friend’ Salman Khan.
According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan was offered a two-hero film by RajKumar Hirani and the other hero was none other than Salman Khan.
However, SRK, whose recent projects bombed at the box-office, wanted to do a solo starrer and asked the filmmaker to change the script.
Revealing the details, film critic Rajeev Masand wrote in his column in Open magazine, “Trusted sources have revealed that the Munna Bhai franchise director originally had a two-hero project in mind that he wanted to make with SRK and Salman Khan. But Shah Rukh was reportedly keen on doing a solo-starrer, so it was back to the drawing board for the filmmaker.”
Rajkumar Hirani is currently working on the new script with Abhijat Joshi.
Earlier, during an ‘Ask SRK’ session on Twitter, the actor had hinted that he is looking forward to working with Hirani.
